Top industry leaders will discuss the important issues facing the beverage market at European Coffee, Tea and Soft Drinks Expo today.
Visitors looking for inspiration on growing their business will be able to hear from Panagiotis Konstantinopoulos, director, Coffee Island; Emilie Holmes, founder, Good and Proper Tea and Stephen Leighton, director of coffee, Has Bean Coffee, who will be discussing how to grow your business while retaining integrity. Another highlight will be ‘Learn from the mistakes of other great hospitality business operators’, where Joao Almeida, head of drinks & operations, Elan Group and Raf Mlodzianowski, owner, of Raf Makes will be sharing success stories, but also discussing when things don’t work out and lessons learnt to overcome challenges.
Andrew Bulgarelli, head of coffee at Leon and Martin Morell, corporate sales director at Eversys will look at ‘ How a busy and successful business achieves consistency and customer satisfaction with every cup of coffee.’ This session will be followed with a session with Laura Willoughby co-founder of Club Soda who will look at the new market trends in soft drinks.
Sustainability will also be covered by Oliver Rosevear, head of environment, Costa Coffee; George May, chief commercial officer, bio-bean who will be discussing ‘Putting your coffee waste to work - How sustainability and waste reduction leads to positive customer feedback and increased margins’.
There will be a second day of Barista Masterclasses, hosted by the world’s top baristas, including 2019 UK Barista Champion Paul Ross, wholesale manager at Kiss the Hippo and Dale Harris, director of wholesale at Has Bean Coffee, UK Barista Champion 2017.
Today’s Roastery Masterclasses, include names such as James Boatfield-Thorley, Roastery Manager, Allpress, Mike Steele, head roaster at 200 Degrees Coffee and Casey Lalonde, co-founder of Girls Who Grind.
And don’t forget the Tea Theatre which will also be running all day, boasting names such as Antonio Vigorito, food and beverage manager at St James’s Hotel & Club, Lucy Chappell from the London School of Tea and Andy Byron, tea trainer at Teapigs.
