UK’s fastest growing catering industry exhibition announces new initiatives that will dramatically enhance its soft drink credentials
European Coffee, Tea & Soft Drinks Expo 2020 (Olympia May 19th & 20th 2020), the only hospitality event totally devoted to soft beverages, will be providing visitors across the entire hospitality market from restaurants, pubs and hotels to cafes, contract caterers and leisure outlets with an even more compelling reason to visit with some exciting new initiatives that will be joining the popular attractions from this year’s show including the Barista Masterclasses and Roastery Masterclass LIVE!
There will be an unmissable opportunity for soft and non-alcoholic drinks brands wanting to boost their exposure to the entire foodservice market. The Expo organisers are working with Club Soda, the mindful drinking movement, who will be curating the Soft Drinks Talks & Tasting Theatre at the event to promote the strong case for improving customer appeal, sales and profits by stocking, displaying and serving a better range of soft beverages in addition to coffee and tea.
Club Soda will work with the brands at the show to develop a series of panels, talks, tastings and demonstrations that will help any hospitality business - from bars, cafes, restaurants, pubs, hotels, workplaces and leisure outlets - serve a great range of soft beverages to boost revenue. There will be in-depth guides to the drinks in this space, so everyone gets to know about the new wave of botanicals, wines, brews and craft sodas that are currently in high demand.
In addition to hosting the Soft Drinks Talks & Tasting Theatre, the Premium Soft & Non-alcoholic Drinks Zone will feature an outstanding range of drinks including RTD, smoothies, water, NOLO, adult premium, alcohol replacement, kombucha, iced tea, milkshakes, mixers, soda, fizzy drinks, shrubs, cordials, juice, hot chocolate, flavoured water, ginger beer, cold brew, crushes, etc.
“I think everybody in hospitality needs to find new ways to delight their and definitely looking at new ideas is really important to that. I think it's really good at showcasing innovation and new ideas, we all need those.” Laura Willoughby MBE, Co-Founder, Club Soda - The Mindful Drinking Movement
Tea will also be given a much needed platform. The Tea Quarter at European Coffee, Tea & Soft Drinks Expo is set to be a huge draw for visitors, with many speciality tea suppliers and exciting features including the Tea Workshop Theatre, curated by Lucy Chappell, Managing Director and Head of Training, London School of Tea. In addition to being our tea guru Lucy will also sit on our 2020 steering panel which will also be enhanced by a team of tea experts forming a special interest group dedicated to tea.
The sessions in the Tea Workshop Theatre will be practical, hands on demonstrations that ultimately will show operators how they can realise a more profitable tea offering. They will provide a guide to how to simply make great tea, offering customers a wonderful product that will deliver a good margin. Sessions will include:
- how to make tea more visible
- how to curate and display a great tea menu
- tea point of sale
- how to create theatre around tea service
- making great tea more accessible to your business
“European Coffee, Tea & Soft Drinks Expo is bringing both worlds together. It’s bringing new things to the forefront for tea, I think that's fantastic because I feel like before a couple of years ago tea festivals, were just all about black tea and infusions and now we've got so much more to come to and learn about and that's really being represented here. It's fantastic.” Lucy Chappell-Wright, Tea Consultant, The London School of Tea
