The European Tea Society partners with European Coffee, Tea & Soft Drinks Expo

The European Tea Society, an inclusive organisation whose mission is to create and inspire excellence in the speciality tea community through innovation, research, education and communication is the latest industry leader to partner with European Coffee, Tea & Soft Drinks Expo 2020.

The European Tea Society will be hosting  a series of activities in its own dedicated area.  The Brew Bar will be the focal point with a comprehensive programme including aroma competitions, tea flights, mixology, food pairings and tea tastings which will provide visitors with an expert insight into great tea, and there will be a lounge area to relax in over a nice cup of tea! The area will also host the Tea Barista Challenge.

The European Tea Society will also be involved in the Tea Theatre Workshop, which is being curated by tea expert Lucy Chappell from the London School of Tea which will include workshops, practical, hands on demonstrations  and panel discussions that ultimately will show operators how they can realise a more profitable tea offering. The sessions will provide a guide to how to simply make great tea, offering customers a wonderful product that will deliver a good margin.

David Veal, Executive Director, The European Tea Society, said,  “As a new and growing membership association representing members throughout the speciality tea community, European Tea Society is pleased to be participating in this year’s European Coffee, Tea and Soft Drinks Expo. We look forward to engaging with many visitors, and welcome the opportunity to sign up new members and educate and enthuse tea lovers who visit our tea brew bar and competition areas. We look forward to seeing you there!”

John Bednall, CEO, Quinic events, organiser of European Coffee, Tea & Soft Drinks Expo said, “Tea is the most popular beverage in the UK, but only 10% of it consumed OOH.  The opportunities around tea are immense, and the Tea Quarter will demonstrate  how doing tea well can serve up a healthy profit.   Visitors will learn how to buy tea, create a great menu and serve it in a way that will delight their customers.”
