Spain’s number one milk drink arrives in UK

Cacaolat, the Spanish milk drink, has launched into the UK market “bringing the true taste of Catalonia”.

Variants include Cacaolat Noir and Mocca well as Cacaolat 0%, which is both lactose free and has no added sugar.

It also has Cacaolat Veggie, the new vegetarian and vegan, plant-based, oat milk.

“Cacaolat is a proud Barcelona brand and the chocolate milk of choice throughout Spain and Portugal. It’s sipped, ice-cold, on the beach on a hot summer’s day and drunk warm in the winter with a croissant or, even better, a cinnamon-dusted churro for dipping. Cacaolat is the alternative for young people and adults who want to make a more discerning choice when they’re looking for a non-fizzy soft drink,” said Keith Donaldson, sales director, of Cacaolat UK.

 

Califia Farms focuses on barista milk

Califia Farms has launched a range of products into the milk category including Almond and Oat barista blends.

It describes its Oat Barista blend as being able to steam “beautifully” and “perfectly pairs with coffee.”

It said its Almond Califia Farms Barista blend is already abig hit” with speciality Baristas, thanks to its “stretch factor”, which creates better latte art.

It also has a range of cold brew coffee, including variants such as which are which are all soy-free, dairy-free, gluten-free, carrageenan-free, non-GMO, kosher, vegan and BPA-free. Its  most indulgent cold brew coffee  -Cold Brew Cocoa Noir  with added Almondmilk contains only 5% sugar, 40% less than other leading iced coffee brands.

 

Barry Callebaut launches chocolate beverages

Premium chocolate producer Barry Callebaut, through its brands Callebaut and Van Houten, has created a range of chocolate beverage products.

The easy to serve range is designed specifically for baristas looking to serve high quality chocolate beverages.  The range includes some products which, made with genuine Belgian chocolate, provide a rich and intense chocolate hit.  Operators can choose from milk, white, dark and gold caramel chocolate to suit all preferences and serve something different. 

The beverage collection also includes a variety of formats to meet operators’ equipment provision and specific requirements, including ground chocolate, cocoa mass, catering sized and single serve packs of Callebaut’s signature callets, single origin powders and three component powder.
