Workshop launches first Honduran coffee

Workshop Coffee has launched its first Honduran coffee, produced by Francisco Alvarado and his family in the Masaguara district of Honduras’ Intibuca department.

“As part of developing our sourcing and roasting programmes, we actively seek out coffees from origins we’ve yet to explore,” said Workshop in its announcement. “In the last two years, we have begun to purchase coffees from Ecuador and Nicaragua, and this year we have continued casting the net wider, looking for delicious coffees from Honduras. We’re pleased to say, we’ve found our first one.”

It continued that it found the coffee quite unique, compared to those of neighbouring Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua. “When profiling the roast, we have focussed on accentuating the body and sweetness of this deep, satisfying filter coffee.”

Sober Up - a new detox shot from Red Bull exec

Sober Up is a detox shot that claims to 'detox the body, support liver health and prevent hangovers' being launched by former Red Bull CEO Harry Drnec, reports Metro.

It can be taken before, during or after drinking to help prevent a hangover.

The drink is made from a combination of naturally sourced ingredients, including turmeric, which is known for its anti inflammatory properties; peppermint, which can relive stomach problems and nausea; Ginseng, which helps with brain power; and wormwood which can help support liver health.

But you can’t get your hands on it just yet – Drenc and his team launched an IndieGoGo page to help fund the production of the drink and with all funds secure, the launch is likely to be not too far away

Fuze Tea promotes 'me time'

Coca-Cola European Partners has launched an advertising campaign for its new Fuze Tea iced tea drink, in a move designed to “highlight the importance of slowing life down and taking a moment for yourself”, reports Talking Retail.

The “Serve yourself a little me-time” campaign is running for three weeks across TV and video-on-demand platforms, and follows research which found that 44% of the UK rarely get any “me-time” (only getting a maximum of 55 minutes on average).

It is also running across out-of-home spaces, mobile advertising, and content on Facebook and Instagram.

Califia Farms introduces three new vegan RTDs

Califia Farms, the US specialists behind vegan ready-to-drink cold brew coffees and plant-based milks has launched three new beverages and has reduced the sugar content by 40% across its portfolio (1.4g per oz down to 0.8g per oz).
