Bodum introduces shatterproof cup range

Bodum is launching a new shatterproof cup range, which feels and looks like glass,  but is much more durable at  European Coffee, Tea & Soft Drinks Expo.

The new polycarbonate does not crack, shatter, cloud or discolour, and maintains clarity even through regular use and is also dishwasher safe.

Bodum said the polycarbonate is highly transparent to visible light, with better light transmission than many kinds of glass, and is also environmentally friendly as it can be recycled.

There is a range of Pavina style shatterproof glasses for hot drinks as well as a range of drinkware including cocktail and wine shaped glasses.

Paddy & Scott's supports Kenya farm community

Paddy & Scott’s is supporting communities on a farm in Kenya with the launch of its Jerry can coffee, named in honour of the Ruiga School children.

Paddy and Scott’s launched the Meru Farm Project in 2017 and works with the Muchomba family in Meru. Paddy & Scott's said it has created a unique project to revolutionise how coffee is traded.

Proceeds from the Meru Community Project are helping to support the local community. The Ruiga Day Secondary School is located 6 kms south of the farm with many of its farm workers' children in attendance.

Proceeds from the sale of this coffee will provide additional places for parents who cannot afford to send their children to school.

Frobishers unveils new look

Frobishers has unveiled a new look to support operators with a more robust bar offering.

The brand’s Fantastical Fusions, Jubilant Juices, Spectacular Sparklers, Curious Cordials and Striking Smoothies, now tell the fantastical tale of Martin Frobisher, the 16th-century explorer.

Jessica Waller, head of brand at Martin Frobisher’s, said: "Our range is for people who want to plough their own furrow, discover something wonderful and explore the full-on flavour of real fresh fruit – no artificial scallywags in here.”

The range is served in clinkable, environmentally-friendly glass bottles.
