Muffin Break to open 15 sites a year

Muffin Break, the franchised café chain, is planning to open 15 sites a year until 2022.

The chain, which serves a range of coffee and teas alongside its bakery offering, has recently opened its 65th store in the UK in Colchester, following a succession of openings in Poole and Hastings.

The operator has its own roastery in Peterborough, where Muffin Break produces its own exclusive blend of coffee that’s roasted  with beans that have been sourced from eight different locations around the world. The blend has been designed to complement its food range.

It offers a range of coffees, served by baristas, including latte and cappuccino as well as frappes. Its tea range includes suppliers Birchall English Breakfast Tea and a wider range supplied by Tetley.

Muffin Break is celebrating its 18th birthday in the UK, years after the first store opened in Derby in late 2001. Muffin Break now has over 300 stores worldwide.
