More praise from exhibitors at European Coffee, Tea & Soft Drinks Expo

Exhibitors at the show said there was a high quality of visitors at the European Coffee, Tea & Soft Drinks Expo, with many getting interest from international visitors to the show.

Daniel Clarke, managing director, La Cimbali UK:

“It is always difficult to talk to people at an exhibition and the VIP lounge has worked for us.

“Splitting the stand with bean to cup and traditional has made a difference. There has been a lot of interest and there have been some big players here.”

Richard Martin, new business director Aqua Libra drinks, which is owned by Britvic:

“The quality of the visitors to the show has been unparalleled to other shows we have been to.”

Laura Wogan, director at Wogan Coffee

"Compared to other coffee festivals it was consistently busy and we had time to interact and make meaningful connections. The people who came here were genuinely interested in our coffee. It has been phenomenal."

Gordon Pirret, chairman, Novus Tea

“We’ve had interest from international businesses, distributors, owners of chains and individual coffee bars. It has been the sort of interest that we would not have been able to get anywhere else.”

Geoff Meredith, owner of Morgan’s Brew Tea Company:

"It is the only show I have had interest from Finland, America, Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. We were asked by one guy to come to a conference in Hong Kong. We have also had a distributor from East Asia who is talking about wanting container loads.”

Julian Peacock, sales manager UK, Pentair Everpure:

“We have seen new start-ups and people wanting to open independent coffee shops  - all wanting advice on how to make the coffee taste the best it can be."

Rebecca Rayner, managing director, Glebe Farm:

“This is a new sector for us. We are very pleased with the show. We had Coffee Republic approach us so we will see how that goes.”

Louise Raynard, commercial manager, St Pierre:

“We are in convenience and are looking to get into foodservice. We have had a number of visitors to the stand including quite a few vending operators. We are here to raise brand awareness”

Phoebe Pedersen, Brand Development Executive – London, Heineken Blade:

“We have seen a lot of visitors to the stand. People said ours was the best stand here."
