Significant increase in low and no
Thomas Ridley Foodservice has said it has seen a “significant increase” in sales of low or no alcohol products, especially in those drinks that offer a more sophisticated adult beverage.
The wholesaler, that sells to the hospitality sector, said this was a reflection of the “huge behaviour shift” with adults abstaining or choosing to moderate their alcohol drinking.
Steve Lyons, sales director at Thomas Ridley Foodservice said that drinkers are wanting products that reflect their personal values including sustainability, Instagram-able and personalisation.
He said: “No longer happy with a soft drink on tap, customers now want to enjoy something unique, flavoursome and totally Instagram worthy.”
