Exhibitor spotlight: Roqberry ‘excited’ by tea focus

Roqberry is returning to European Coffee Expo with its range of delicious, whole leaf tea. The collection comprises black, green and oolong teas, as well as a selection of herbal infusions. A tea brand by foodies, for foodies, their blends are put together with flavour at the centre. The range was awarded a total of 10 gold stars in Great Taste 2018. It recently added six new flavours to its range and extended its hospitality formats to include individually enveloped teabags.

Founder, Kim Havelaar, explains why Roqberry is exhibiting at European Coffee Expo for a second year.

What attracted Roqberry to exhibit a European Coffee Expo again for 2019?

European Coffee Expo is driving a real focus on tea. With the creation of the European Tea Expo Quarter, the partnership with National Tea Day, and the extensive show’s education programme on tea, we felt this tradeshow was the right fit for us.

Why do you feel a trade show is a great place for visitors to find out more about products and engage in sampling?

Tradeshows are a great way to meet the brand behind the product. They offer an immersive experience with the opportunity to taste, touch and smell the products as well as meet the team behind it and ask any questions you might have. With so many great brands under one roof, visitors get the chance to efficiently compare and decide what is right for them.

Innovation is key to hospitality businesses, what do you feel are the most exciting aspects of the sector right now.

We love not just how hospitality business are upgrading their tea offering, but how they are getting creative with it. Whether that is putting together a tea and food pairing menu, exploring the options with cold brew and sparkling tea, or using tea in unexpected ways on the menu - tea infused fish, tea smoked duck, tea icecream, tea cocktails. There are so many possibilities.

What are you most looking forward to seeing/taking part in at European Coffee Expo?

We’re really excited about helping drive the tea movement at the show. We look forward to the European Tea Expo Quarter and the educational sessions offered.  With so many great brands both exhibiting and attending, it promises to be a fantastic show.
