Beanworks’ eyes Cold Brew opportunities after ‘fantastic’ year
Beanworks, which is celebrating a ‘fantastic year of growth’, is looking to launch a Cold Brew product in response to the summer’s heatwave.
David Blair, director of Beanworks told Coffee Business World: “We’re experiencing a very vibrant market currently on the back of a fantastic year of growth for us, but the summer was challenging, purely because of the weather. But while it was frustrating it was, at least, explainable. It wasn’t until the heat ended that coffee sales picked back up again.”
He added: “It did provide a ‘kick up the backside’ for us to seriously look at a Cold Brew offer for next summer.”
Blair also said that the coffee sector continued to experience growth and shouldn’t fall prey to the Brexit doom and gloom mongers.
“It’s a very healthy sector, especially when compared with what’s happening in casual dining. In these days of Brexit, everyone should stay focused on that and how businesses are pushing on through and doing well.”
